Skills Training

The DivergAntz Collective offers a number of skills-based training courses for free. These are short, 2 hour non-accredited training sessions, facilitated by Tara Kent, who is an Industry Professional with extensive qualifications in human services, disability, law, education and is an Allied Health Professional (Developmental Educator).

Tara is not an Occupational Therapist and this course is not delivered as a OT-led or medical training.

Epilepsy

Learning about epilepsy and learning how to support people who experience seizures, is an important step towards increasing your capacity to be a great support worker, provide a safe environment and respond fast and effectively to increase the quality of life of those you provide services to.

Manual Handling

Learning about Manual Handling and learning how to support people who require mobilisation assistance, is an important step towards increasing your capacity to be a great support worker, provide a safe environment and respond fast and effectively to increase the quality of life of those you provide services to.

Medication Assistance

Learning about Medication Assistance and learning how to support people who require medication, is an important step towards increasing your capacity to be a great support worker, provide a safe environment and respond fast and effectively to increase the quality of life of those you provide services to.

Schizoaffective Disorder

Schizoaffective disorder is a mental health condition. It is a combination of symptoms of schizophrenia and mood disorder, such as depression or bipolar disorder. Symptoms may occur at the same time or at different times.
