ND Counselling
ND Counselling
Our accredited Counsellors and Social Worker to facilitate our Counselling; Jason Stuart, Rosanna Quick and Alex Hogg (Social Worker).
In our work with neurodiverse populations, we use a holistic approach that considers your sensory profile and individual needs. Our therapy sessions will help you develop coping strategies, build resilience and self-esteem, and develop skills for functioning and overall well-being. Our goal is to empower you to feel safe and grounded within yourself and the world around you so that you can thrive in your life.
We recognise and embrace the uniqueness and complexity of neurodiverse individuals. We understand that neurodivergent people process information differently and may face different challenges in their daily lives. Therefore, we adopt a neuro-affirming and strength-based approach that focuses on identifying and building upon your strengths, resources, and abilities. I work to create a safe and accepting space where you can show up as your authentic self and explore your experiences without fear of judgment.
Our approach is:
- Warm and relational
- Led by you, we only go into what you want to cover
- Aiming to deepen your understanding of certain experiences
- Develop healthy coping strategies to difficult emotions and experiences
- Psychoeducation around neurodiversity and what it means to you
- Helping you to thrive in your life
- Integrative therapy – Some people need to vent, and others need strategies to deal with a problem. Every client is different and we tailor our approach based on your needs
Our approach is not:
- A cold, clinical setting
- We are not the expert on your life, you are
- A focus on diagnoses
- Trying to change who you are
- Judgemental
