Spectrum Rising

What makes you an ND Affirming Service Provider

Spectrum Rising is a trauma informed practice that centres the ND expereince and expertise. I integrate the social, minority neurotype and medical models into my supports, applying an anti-oppressive practice framework. I'm an AuDHD parent of an AuDHD teenager. Autistic folks (and those with associated conditions and profiles) have the right to be supported in a way that preserves their right to play as their brain needs to, to move as their bodies needs to and to choose when and how they integrate with neurotypical culture . Consent is a key aspect of this. My work incorporates elements of: CPS Polyvagal theory Mona Delahookes work Reggio Emilia education Community development models Autism Level Up Social Cipher Anti Oppressive practice Trauma informed practice And is LGBTQIA+ safe.
