Purpose and Benefits

The key benefits of accessing a Diagnostic Assessment through a Neurodivergent Affirming service provider like us is that:

  • The process will be affirming and promote your authentic self.
  • The methods we use are positive and safe and the practitioners are neurodivergent themselves.
  • The tools we use, such as the MIGDAS-2 (Autism) are considered to be most the most neurodivergent affirming diagnostic tools available.
  • Our multidisciplinary team accesses frequent and ongoing professional development and is supported by industry leaders in the neurodivergent affirming and Actually Autistic movement across Australia.

The assessment identifies sensory needs and behavioural patterns common in Autistic individuals, promoting neurodivergent affirmative understanding and helping clients become more aware of their sensory needs. Following diagnosis, clients can apply for NDIS funding or school-based support.

Assessment Process

The process involves an initial telehealth consultation, a session (face-to-face or telehealth), questionnaires completed by the client, review of all existing reports and information, sometimes participation with a family member or friend, review within our multidisciplinary clinical team, including finalised confirmation by our highly skilled Clinical Psychologist with a Doctor of Psychology.

  • Non-NDIS / Privately paying client services are subject to GST

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Assessment

Overview of the Assessment

DivergAntz Collective’s Diagnostic Assessments regarding PTSD are able to identify signs and characteristics of this condition, acknowledging the distinct challenges and situations that neurodivergent individuals may experience.

The SLD Diagnostic Assessment includes assessing children or adults for significant challenges in learning and using academic skills. These difficulties are characterised under three primary specifiers: with impairment in reading (Dyslexia), with impairment in written expression (Dysgraphia), and with impairment in mathematics (Dyscalculia).

Purpose and Benefits

  • For impairment in reading, the assessment focuses on word reading accuracy, reading rate or fluency, and reading comprehension.
  • Impairment in written expression is identified through spelling accuracy, grammar and punctuation accuracy, and the clarity or organisation of written expression.
